Purpose of Position
To assist with the smooth running of the Kitchen, by maintaining high standards of cleanliness. To ensure equipment is cleaned to a high standard and in a timely manner and to assist with basic food preparations as required.
Primary Accountabilities
- To provide clean crockery, cutlery and glassware, to ensure the smooth running of all food operations
- To maintain a high level of hygiene and tidiness in the kitchen and surrounding food service areas
- To inform the Head Chef of any faults or service requirements within the Hotel, specifically within the food service areas
- To assist the chefs with food preparation work, such as vegetables and salads
- To actively contribute and participate towards personal continued development
Secondary Accountabilities
- To assist with the preparation of breakfast items
- To assist with stock rotation
Key skills
- Experience in a similar role is preferred
- Good knowledge of basic food hygiene
- Excellent planning & organisational skills
- Flexible and is able to work around 35-40 hours per week to include shifts if and when necessary
- Ability to respond to a range of different work situations
- Able to work under pressure
- Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out in a quick and efficient manner
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: From £6.85 per hour
