Job description
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join the team at the ibis Styles Birmingham NEC & Airport hotel on a casual basis, helping out during busy periods with a salary of £10.50 per hour. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and organised, stocking supplies, washing dishes, and assisting with food preparation. The ideal candidate should have a good work ethic, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have an eye for detail. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and surfaces.
- Ensure that all food is stored correctly and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of food.
- Ensure that all waste is disposed of correctly.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
- Ensure that all kitchen areas are kept clean and hygienic at all times.
- Follow instructions from the chef.
We serve breakfast and dinner and cater for conferences and meetings, so you should be flexible around shift availability and able to take on midweek and weekend shifts.
No experience is needed as we can show the ropes, but we need someone who's willing to learn and happy to get stuck in!
