Kitchen Intern

Fine dining can perfect a five-star stay. We’re looking for Kitchen Interns to create our Mandarin Oriental dishes with finesse.

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is London’s most iconic address. The spirit of the city infuses every floor. The park’s green vastness rolls beyond bedroom windows. Renowned guests frequent the hotels’ bars and restaurants.

It’s another world. A world of oriental luxury and the most attentive service. A world that’s all about our guests.

It’s also a world that’s been reinvented and reimagined to move with the times. With a heart of London’s heritage and an eye to the future, we use our own sense of history to set new standards – through kind, passionate and generous service.

From three-course dinners to the perfect scrambled eggs, we need Kitchen Interns who are ready for a diverse set of dishes.

Two days are never the same when you’re a Kitchen Intern with us. One guest might crave the ideal beef Wellington; another might yearn for a fresh plate of mochi. One evening, we’ll serve an indulgent meal for a single guest; the next, a 400-person banquet.

Because our menus are designed around so many palates and plates, we have a huge variety of skills under one roof. In the Hotel we have three kitchens, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal Kitchen, The Aubrey Kitchen and the MOLON Kitchen (Banqueting, Breakfast, In Room Dining & Pastry) where you can hone and develop your skills.

As a Kitchen Intern, you will ensure guest satisfaction is met throughout the meal experience by providing efficient and courteous service.

You will specifically be responsible for assisting in the Kitchen as required and ensure our cuisine is presented to the highest standard.

We are looking for a driven candidate with outstanding communication skills, ideally someone with previous experience in a five star environment. You are willing to deliver a professional, attentive, and impeccable service to our guests and make sure their experience in Mandarin Oriental is unique and exceptional.

We offer our Kitchen Interns world class benefits including, but not limited to:

  • Discounted stays at our beautiful Hotels
  • Access to discounts and deals with over 200 popular high street retailers, including discounted gym memberships and travel deals
  • Westfield Health cash plan, with children added at no extra cost

  • 50% F&B & Spa discount
  • Friends & Family hotel rate and Spa discount
  • Season ticket loan & cycle to work scheme
  • Generous recruitment referral bonus
  • Free meals on duty & uniform dry-cleaning services
  • Life Insurance benefits whilst in service
  • Highly discounted podiatry sessions
  • Financial wellbeing, financial planning and mortgage advice workshops
  • Employee Recognition Programmes
  • Employee Assistance Program through Hospitality Action – giving you access to
  • Social, wellbeing, charity, and sporting events throughout the year
  • 1 paid Charity day per year to dedicate to a charity of your choice
  • Fantastic learning and development opportunities for all levels of staff
  • Excellent career progression with an iconic, luxury, global hotel brand
