Job description
Howdens are looking for Kitchen Designers to join our contracts team based in our Wimbledon hub.
Based in our purpose-built hub in the Wimbledon area of London and reporting to the Office Manager, you will be designing kitchens for our contract clients who come from a variety of backgrounds including housing associations, construction/new builds and developers etc.
What will I be doing as a Kitchen Designer?
- Providing a support service to the Regional Contracts Managers by designing and quoting kitchens that meet the customer’s needs, specifications, budget and timescales
- Supporting the office in the effort to achieve targets, particularly with regards to output, efficiency and turnaround time
- Processing accurate estimates to the kitchen plans and design specification
- Incorporating latest design trends across the kitchen designs
What do I need to qualify for this role?
- Experience using CAD and competent in using Excel
- Experience working within a contract kitchen design role (desirable)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deliver within budget and strict time restraints
- Experience of producing high volume accurate kitchen designs and estimates
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Self-starter who is flexible, approachable and a team player
