We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Cooks to join our kitchen team. Job Description:As a line cook at Zukku, you will prepare appetizers and various ingredients for use in our dishes, cook and wash rice at high volumes using an industrial rice cooker and assist with the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen. Responsibilities:Assist with food preparation, including chopping, cutting, and measuring ingredients.Wash, cook and cool large quantities of rice using safety and sanitation protocols.Assist in food prep and assembly to meet high-demand periodsMaintain a clean and organized kitchen workstation, including proper handling of equipment and utensils.Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in all food preparations using rotation methods.Assist with washing dishes and sanitizing kitchen equipment.Help with removing and disposing trash cans as needed.Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and management. Qualifications:Previous experience as a line cook or prep cookPrevious experience in a sushi or poke setting is preferred but not requiredMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periodsStrong understanding of food safety and sanitation practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with accuracyExcellent teamwork and communication skillsWillingness to learn and adapt to our restaurant's specific menu and cooking methods.Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
