Job description
We are looking to recruit Kitchen Assistants who will be responsible for preparing hot & cold food at our distribution centre in Avonmouth, Bristol.
We offer permanent, full time positions working between the hours of 8am-7pm any 5 days from 7 (Including Weekends).
Pay, working hours & benefits:
We offer an hourly pay rate of £12.90. You will be guaranteed 37.5 hours per week. If you’re looking to earn a bit more then overtime is regularly available.
Duties:
- Food preparation tasks;
- Cooking and counter serving of meals;
- Receiving and moving of deliveries to kitchen storage;
- Replenishment of fridges
- Cleaning of kitchen utensils, appliances and surfaces.
About You:
This is a busy canteen, so the ability to work under pressure without supervision is essential. Candidates should also be able to communicate effectively and posses general numeracy and literacy skills.
Food hygiene is very important, so a basic food hygiene qualification would be desirable as well as an understanding of workplace health and safety.
