Job description
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant/Domestic Assistant to join our team.
The Kitchen Assistant is responsible to the Nursery Cook and will work in partnership with the Manager to ensure the preparation of a balanced and healthy diet for the children's meals, adhering to the Policies & Procedures and in compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health and Safety and within the guidelines of Ofsted and the Welfare Requirements.
This position is for 25-30 hours per week across 5 days Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
- Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
- Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
- Assisting with aspects of cooking and serving meals
