The Millennium Hotel Glasgow is seeking a full-time Kitchen Assistant who will assist with ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are achieved within the Kitchen. This role will also include preparation and cooking duties to assist with the smooth running of the kitchen.
As a Kitchen Assistant your responsibilities will include:
· Carrying out all cleaning duties as per the cleaning schedule
· Carrying out any reasonable task set by a senior member of the team
· Preparing, cooking and presenting food, as requested
· Breakfast duties will be required as instructed by the Kitchen Manager
· Ensuring hygienic practices are in place at all times
· Ensuring the correct use of cleaning chemicals and materials are used
· Ensuring the work areas are clean, safe and tidy at all times
· Adhering to all regulations in respect of Health & Safety, Hygiene, Guest Safety, Fire Regulations, Emergency Procedures, etc.
What are we looking for:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Asssistant/Kitchen Porter would be advantageous
- Enthusiasm and motivation with a 'can do' attitude
- Ability to cover a variety of shifts, 5/7 on a rota basis, this includes evenings and weekend work
