What we expect from you:
Our Kitchen Porters have an interesting role within our kitchens. The job requires many basic skills needed to start your career to becoming a Chef, this role very well may be that first step for you. Fast paced with good quality and value for money are your watch words in our consistently busy kitchen environments, along with good opportunity for career progression internally or within the group. You will have the opportunity to complete a level 2 food preparation course or an apprenticeship if you wish.
- To undertake all aspects of cleaning of equipment, walls, floors, fixtures and fittings and light equipment using cleaning products as instructed, and at a time according to the cleaning rota or as directed.
- To wash, sort and store all items of kitchen equipment, utensils and cooking implements.
- Basic food preparation tasks as requested by the kitchen management.
- Be aware of company COSHH, Health & Safety policy in your workplace and assist others to help to maintain a safe working environment.
