Key Task
To assist in the preparation of all food items being made in the kitchen, service of food and cleaning duties
Reports to the Chef/Kitchen Manager.
Core responsibilities:
- Quick and efficient preparation of all food items.
- Maintaining an agreed standard of content and quality of all food items.
- Ensuring all food is correctly packaged and labelled.
- Serving of breakfast and lunches at servery
- Maintaining required standards of maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen. This includes sharing the responsibility of cleaning the kitchen and café dishes.
- Follow health and safety standards in place.
- Co-operate and communicate effectively with the Café Manager, Chef and the kitchen team.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
Working Hours:
30-35 hours per week.
Week days/evenings and some weekends.
Sociable working hours.
Christmas, New Year, Easter & Summer holidays off .
Salary:
Dependent on age/as per scale.
Experience:
Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
