30 hrs Permanent Post – Lister Avenue, Sheffield
The Lister Project is a CQC registered recovery residential mental health service for 25 adults, split over 5 separate houses in the Base green area of Sheffield. It is a warm and inviting home for customers who have enduring mental health issues. At the Lister Project customers have the independence, security and privacy of their own home, with all support needed during their recovery.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive and innovative individual to join our dedicated team at our registered mental health service in Sheffield. The role of a Key Worker includes supporting our customers to develop the skills necessary to maximise their independence. - Starting Salary: £20,601 per annum (pro-rata part time)

More about the role:
The role of a Key Worker at Lister is a varied one and very rewarding. You will support our customers to give them the skills to live independently. Using a strength based approach you will use your motivational skills, encouraging them to achieve their goals and aspirations. You will use your skills and experience to develop person centred activities to support customers to achieve their goals. Some of our activities include healthy cooking sessions, walking groups, computer training and gardening.
A key element of the Key Worker role is to understand and assess risk and to have good understanding of Safeguarding.
You will support our customers with their personal care where needed, including the administration of medication
Who you are:
You will be passionate about customer service and have a real commitment to supporting our customers to achieve their aspirations, goals and help them maximise their full potential. The successful candidate would need to:
- Have previous experience of supporting vulnerable people
- Demonstrate an understanding of individual supports needs and how to positively manage risk, whilst supporting our customers on their recovery journey
- Be approachable, patient, and resilient
- Be a great communicator both verbally and in writing
- Have good problem-solving skills
- Capability to use a wide range of digital software
- Great organisational and observational skills
