Hours: 37 hours per week, 5 days Mon-Fri, working between 6:15am-1:45pm

The purpose of this role is to provide support within the Parcel Hub and strengthen the unit performance.

In order for Royal Mail to run an efficient operation, the successful candidate would be expected to carry out the following tasks:


  • Accurate and consistent application of the Pre-Advice/Isotrak system at all times
  • Checking signing on sheets both duty and vehicle ad signing vehicles back in
  • Liaising with Transport Manager/Drivers/CPC/BCA team and Ops with regards daily operation.
  • Verbal communication to drivers on daily issues, i.e. traffic conditions/weather/RTCs etc
  • Answer the telephone or radio and deal with customers/drivers and issues that arise.
  • Maintaining map books and duty packs
  • Filling in PMT1 and associated paperwork
  • Ensuring agency drivers records are maintained and checked
  • Yard checks as and when requested

  • Computer literate with good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative/cover for the manager
