Canon UK are looking for a Key Account Manager to work in the Midlands. You will be working to agreed targets using your planning and forecasting skills to accurately generate and maintain a sales pipeline. Through building excellent internal and external customer relationships, managing resources, and being a strong ambassador for Canon and fully optimizing internal supporting teams from order to delivery, you will have the resources to you, to be financially rewarded on your sales success.

We are seeking those who are driven to meet and exceed their personal targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and are strategic in their approach to selling value propositions including products, solutions, and professional services to new and existing customers, within specified accounts and/or territories

What we ask

  • Manage Accounts profitably – with full account P&L responsibility
  • Manage the internal resources needed to enable successful business development strategies within specified user accounts
  • Develop & Maintain a thorough sector understanding to enable successful business development strategies within specified accounts
  • Engage accounts at a senior level
  • Identify potential and prioritise accounts to deliver short-, mid- and long-term business opportunities
  • Have a clear understanding of the specific needs of individual key accounts
  • Ensure records are maintained (including a calendar) of account buying processes, policies & buying cycles
  • Project manage and lead bids & tender processes within specified accounts.
  • Understanding customer requirements
  • Ensure that existing contracts are managed to the optimum and up selling opportunities are realised.
  • Forecast revenue, GM, solutions and units for forthcoming month, 2 months, and 3 months.
  • Self-Development is important at Canon, and you will be encouraged to take further training to develop your skills in this role through the support and guidance of your Manager

You will need

As the Key Account Manager you will possess the following skills and expertise;

Passion for selling, desire to succeed, problem solver, rapport builder, customer focussed, understands how technology works and its potential, confident nature, articulate, networker and social media savvy.

Excellent planning and organisational skills

Salary up to £44,137 base plus £52,140 OTE plus company car/car allowance
