Key Account Manager – Insulation Products
The Location :
The position of Key Account Manager will be based primarily in our Offices in Lincoln, but with some opportunity for Hybrid / flexible working.
This forward thinking, purpose led organisation, manufacturing a range of high-performance sustainable insulation products are on the hunt for a Key Account Manager.
The Company :
We are an ambitious family business that have been providing high performance sustainable construction solutions to the UK and Europe for 25 years. Our main product range, SuperFOIL Insulation, includes products made from up to 45% recycled material, helping reduce plastics going into landfill whilst also improving the energy efficiency of homes and reducing dependency on fossil fuels.
The business is going from strength to strength. As one of the biggest brands in the sector, it’s no surprise that they’re in growth YOY. Sold in major Hardware Retailers DIY Chains, Builders Merchants and Distributors the world would certainly be a different place without the products this business provides.
This is a NEW ROLE for the team due to market growth over the last couple of years and a restructure within the business. It will be a very diverse role with the largest range of reflective insulation products on the market to work with.

Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with one of the UKs leading manufacturers of Reflective Foil Insulation Products as a Junior Key Account Manager on their DIY Nationals side of the business, supporting the National Account Manager on Wickes, Aldi, The Range, Woodies Travis Perkins and Selco but also having your own responsibility on Independent wholesales and smaller retailers.
This role will report to the National Account Manager with the scope to develop into a Retail Account manager in the next 18-24 months. You will support the team to service key accounts and deliver growth in product ranges and sales.
Your Role
- Drive profitable sales growth with clients and prospects to outperform the market and competitors
- Ensure plans are delivered from the factory to the store as agreed
- Complete new account set-up procedures and onboard with new clients
- Daily communication between clients’ and operations teams
- Prepare and present new product range and assortment opportunities
- Create new product lines and online listing material
- Support at customer trade shows / events/demo days
- Travel for meetings and presentations when required
- Working in partnership with customers to build Joint Business Plans that further strengthen the brand's products both in-store and online.
- Strengthen customer relationships by close working across Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
You:
To help this business to achieve its continued growth plans we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised individual to work within their sales team.
Alongside following our core values the most important things we are looking for from you are:
- Graduate calibre with good problem-solving ability and high attention to detail
- Strong analytical ability and confidence with numbers, able to draw conclusions and insight from data
- With a strong level of numeracy and IT Skills (PowerPoint & Excel)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Having the ability to contribute within a multi-functional team-based environment
- A strong passion for sales and a self-starter attitude
- Experience ideally 2 years within a sales or customer service environment
- Keen to learn with the potential to develop in the role and progress within the business as part of a highly rewarding career
Hours - Monday to Friday - 8.30 am to 5pm
Job Types: Full time, Permanent
Salary: £23,000 per year basic
Bonus : Up to £2k per year bonus available
