ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to establish themselves within a large organisation who can offer stability and training with the opportunity of a great long-term career!

• Working with Grocery account managers on projects and active account management with the top 6 Grocery accounts.
• Engages with all cross functional departments including, marketing, RGM, Finance, category management, sales planning and supply chain.
• Supporting account managers in achievement of agreed Availability, Visibility, Dialogue, Activation, market share & volume objectives, for the assigned accounts.
• Effectively manage and track Key Account budgets, forecasts, and actuals to ensure optimal use of financial resource allocated for the account. Ensure timely reporting in collaboration with Finance on a Monthly, Quarterly, and yearly reporting cycle.
• Develop strong business relationships with both trade partners and internal departments.
• Support in account performance reviews & continuously review account contact strategy and re-align as appropriate to deliver objectives and maximize business effectiveness and efficiency.
• Communicate competitor and market intelligence to relevant internal stakeholders.
• Utilise BAT’s performance management process to align with line manager on progress against account/portfolio objectives and personal performance as required.

ABOUT YOU:

Essentials:

• A full clean driving license
• Live within less than 1-hour commute from home to the Chiswick office
• Experienced use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft outlook)
• Degree qualification preferrable but not essential
• Key Account or Category Management experience preferred

Reports to: Key Account Manager

Reporting Level: Manages self – no direct reports

Geographic Scope: Local and Area

• 
  Ability to work in a challenging commercial environment dominated by an ever-decreasing account base balancing the demands of accounts with the commercial aims & objectives of BAT.
• Will be expected to Live the Company Vision & strategy
• Establish ambitious targets for self and others, as well as customers
• Have good knowledge of Brand / Trade Marketing, & build knowledge of their customers Strategy, Structure, KPIs and potential.
• Have High communication and negotiation skills, with capabilities to develop new solutions to react to market conditions
• Ability to manage data and define insight.
