We are looking for a KDB developer to join the Equity Global Risk and Scenarios (GRS) UI team. The GRS team is responsible for aggregating end-of-day risk and calculating overnight risk for the front office, including traders, risk managers and Strats. These calculations include Scenarios, P&L Attribution, and bucketed Greeks that are to compute intensive for real-time risk. The positions that flow through this infrastructure range from exotic Equity derivatives to vanilla Equity options, Equity Swaps and plain stocks, covering over a million positions globally. The results, which are mission critical to the firm, are delivered on a stringent schedule to senior traders and risk managers who use them for trading decisions in each location and to manage risk globally.
The KDB backend, which we are hiring for, provides data to an interactive web UI that seeks to summarise vast amounts of end of day risk, as well as ticking intraday risk and market data, to a form and presentation style that would allow senior front office heads to quickly identify areas of risk that need attention. KDB is a critical component which glues together data from many sources for a very performant presentation to the GUI. This is a very high-profile application with a great deal of visibility to the Front Office.
We are a very technical team, where self-motivation, technical skills and strong interest in design and technology are highly prized.
