ROLE PURPOSE
To operate in a Design team carrying out challenging programmes of work on state-of-the-art aerospace programmes. The roles offer opportunities for developing skills, knowledge and experience in this exciting industry.
This involves providing Coordination support of concessions by performing incoming quality check & clarifying the queries with originator if any. Ensuring submission adheres to the design assessment requirements, initiation of the Concession through Kanbanize/Tracker and submission to Design team for assessment. Tracking and reporting and finally returning the completed Concession, DAR, DP & TAD to the originator.
Additional responsibilities will include Quest financial management activities such as invoicing, creation of booking numbers, status reporting, etc. and also creation and operation of ad hoc Kanban boards applied in novel project management applications.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES (Please list in order of priority)
The role involves administrative support activities that include
- Check the Concession, DP, TAD from SAP database including Export rating check
- Find out the priority and need date – as expectation
- Coordinate Quest design assessment activity for additional inputs and commitment in line with the need date
- Access Teamcenter, Optegra for Parts, solution, documents requested by team.
- Update daily status tracker and share the status and support required with stake holders in daily stand-up meeting
- Assign DA, Specialist and NCA in SAP
- Coordinate DA, Specialist and NCA activity based upon priority and need date.
- Liaise with concession coordinators from other areas whenever required.
- Update and maintain the tracker for visual management.
- Chase task owners to ensure that tasks are progressed.
- After NCA closure, check for customer approval if not check for MEP approval.
- Contribute to development of best practices and productivity improvement
- Ensure to close the concession in the SAP
- Support on DAR Coordination activities – Inbox, Agenda, Central Register.
- Planning, Tracking and reporting the status/ progress to ensure timely closures
- Returning the completed Concession, DAR, DP & TAD to respective stakeholders
Experience
Applicants should have experience supporting administrative/coordination activities including interaction with multiple stakeholders to send/ receive and coordinate information.
Knowledge
Should be computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft office applications
Able to quickly learn querying and downloading information from ERP systems such as SAP and other databases.
A Good understanding of MS Excel and its use.
A basic understanding of gas turbine engines and their components.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRABLE TO CARRY OUT THIS ROLE)
Experience
Ideally applicants should have experience supporting Non-Conformance administrative / coordination activities including interaction with multiple engineering stakeholders to send/ receive and coordinate information. Previous experience of SAP based non-conformance systems would be beneficial.
Knowledge
2-3 years of experience in a coordination /administrative role providing support to engineering teams, preferably supporting non-conformance management.
Prior experience of Kanban would be an advantage
A Good understanding of gas turbine functionality and operability of major components.
Qualifications
A Levels/similar or relevant experience in manufacturing/engineering industry
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES (ESSENTIAL TO CARRY OUT THIS ROLE)
- Excellent Computer Literacy with experience of using Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and a diverse staff population.
- Must be confident, resourceful, highly organised and be able to work with little direct intervention
- Self-starter also able to work well within a large team
- Able to track and report multiple items at the same time using Excel/ Word lists
