We are looking for a junior editor to create video content for Saga PLC. We're looking for someone with a vision of how we can make our video content look incredible and someone who can liaise with videographers to get the raw footage that makes that vision possible. In this role you will be expected to organise and manage workflow and assets and support the Video Editor with additional editing requests. You should be able to work with a range of formats. You will be expected to be creative, solution focused and should have an eye for how to make single shot content pop and a track record of meeting deadlines. Main Responsibilities- Editing raw footage content and cutting video sequences to ensure that concepts are translated effectively.
- Performing the full range of editing works, from editing sequences, audio balancing, to colour correction and colour grading.
- Organising and managing all audio and video assets to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Managing all post-production for the talks, from sourcing the raw footage from the videographers, to making the talks look their best, to managing the media library.
- Creating a variety of cutdowns for each video (1:1, 9:16 etc).
- Working to tight turnaround times to ensure videos are available on demand as quickly as possible after they have live streamed.
- Assisting the Village in-house Video Editor to maintain a video library and work together on a variety of different projects.
- Troubleshooting problems as they arrive through a calm and measured approach.
- Assisting with the development and packaging of creative digital content.
- Researching and suggesting creative treatments which will improve the quality of production.
- Operating within a production team to deliver always-on digital programming, taking responsibility for detail driven delivery.
- Keeping abreast of development & trends within the digital space, identifying where this creates opportunity for Saga Village, and then making suggestions for creative content.
- Understanding & distributing deliverables in a timely manner to fulfil the brief.
- Promoting equality & diversity on-screen and within the team.
- Where required, delivering projects to agreed quality standards using Saga’s approved change approach and methodology.
- Identifying risks and issues and defines actions to mitigate; escalates issues as appropriate.
- Editing videos for commercial & brand purposes.
- Editing interviews and / or educational content.
- An eye for how to make slow-form / single-shot content pop.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Proficiency in Adobe CC Suite of similar.
- Understanding of audio & colour correction.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously.
