Job description
Valiant Solutions Ltd is looking for qualified candidates to join our team as junior software tester and this role is permanent reporting to the QA Manager. This is a new role within the company and you'll be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment.
As a junior software tester you might work on bespoke and individual projects and expected to perform a variety of tests, such as regression, functional, integration and compatibility testing to confirm the stability of software systems and communicate with clients and stakeholders, present demos and answer questions at the end of a sprint.

The ideal candidates will either need to be educated to NQF level 6 or have relevant experience to be able to apply for this position.
The Role:
The role is primarily based in the Leeds however, you may be expected to travel other parts of UK to our client’s premises were your IT expertise is required.
Employment Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Annual Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
· As a Junior Software Tester, you'll need to:
· Meet with system users to understand the scope of projects
· Work with software developers and project support teams
· Review functional and business requirement specifications
· Monitor applications and software systems for the regression issues
· Carry out manual functional, regression and scalability testing
· Writing test scripts covering both positive and negative scenarios
· Nurture a genuine interest in our software and keep yourself continually up to date with best practice and innovation in testing
· Run manual tests using E2E automation suite
· Test in different environments including web and mobile
· Find, report, track and ensure the defects are closed using JIRA and Qualitycenter.
· Prioritising testing effectively and taking a risk-based approach.

This role would suit an individual with exceptional organisational and personal skills from a general IT background.
