Our client wants to employ an ambitious junior developer, who wants to build on their existing skills and grow into a product-leading role. You can work hours around your life commitments and socialise with your colleagues through computer game and board game sessions too!
Job role:
You will be learning to work with our existing products within our development framework, until you're confident enough to gradually take ownership of one of them.
- Write code to implement new features for existing systems
- Write codes to maintain existing systems
- Work alongside the team to develop new systems
- Help maintain technical documentation
- Participate in daily/weekly meetings with the team
The role is to replace one of our current software developers and product owners. They will be available to transfer their knowledge to you and get you up and running over a six month period, so loads of experience is not necessary.
- Have some experience of web development
- Have experience with Web technologies e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Understand the concepts of the MVC design pattern.
- Understand how version control systems work.
- Hold a basic understanding of relational databases and SQL Server.
- Have a GCSE English (Grade C/4 or above)
- Be able to identify, understand and solve problems
- Be curious with a drive to learn

Although software development will be your main responsibility at IQM, you will also have significant time to be involved in a range of other projects and initiatives, within the business, which will give you plenty of opportunity to learn.
