Your Core focus as a Junior QA Engineer:
- Conduct thorough testing on our in-house CRM software, simulating user interactions to identify potential issues, with the opportunity in writing and maintaining automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
- Work closely with the development team to understand new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Collaborate with developers to verify bug fixes and ensure they align with the software's requirements.
- Participate in the creation of test plans and test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the system's functionalities.
- Provide valuable feedback to improve the user experience, usability, and overall quality of the software.
- Assist in the documentation of testing processes, findings, and improvements.
About you:
- Previous experience in software testing or quality assurance is not required, however a strong desire to work in the technology industry and software testing is essential
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to systematically uncover potential issues.
- Enthusiasm for learning and an interest in entering the insurtech industry.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability, passion and drive to work to tight deadlines and manage their own workload
- Test automation knowledge or experience (nice to have)
- Web development and/or web security knowledge of experience (nice to have)
- Experience with testing tools such as: PHPUnit and/or JEST (nice to have)
- An understanding of Git/ Version Control (nice to have)
- Knowledge of Docker, Laravel and/or Vue (nice to have)
