Job purpose

Reporting into the Operations Project Manager, this is an opportunity with someone with project management experience to further develop skills and experience within the financial services industry. As a Junior Project Manager, you will be primarily responsible for all day-to-day management of projects and tasks for the SFL Commodities Operations Team. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the StoneX business and work with a range of individual and teams in different locations across the world. In this role you will be encouraged to share ideas within the Project Delivery and Governance team to support with the continuous growth of the team and the wider StoneX Group.

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day Project Management support when necessary to the Commodity Operations team.
  • Organise and chair, where required meetings relating to projects with both internal and external stakeholders and of varied seniorities.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive core project documentation across the project portfolio.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors through frequent communication to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering processes to ensure all project deliverables are captured and clearly defined prior to the project commencing.
  • Completing any tasks assigned by the Operations Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
Qualifications:
Skills

  • Advanced competency with MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
  • Competent with Project Management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence and Trello.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, capable of confidently producing and distributing global and sensitive communications to varied audiences.
  • Ability to listen to your stakeholder audience and respond in a professional manner.
  • Ability to think quickly and creatively when presented with challenges and risks to deescalate their impact on a project.
  • Be adaptable to a rapidly changing business.


Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge of Agile & Waterfall frameworks and project management terminology.
  • Basic understanding of how the financial services industry operates.
  • Previous experience within a project management role.

Qualifications
  • Degree Level or Equivalent.
  • Project Management certifications such as APM, Prince2 (F+P), Agile or Scrum are highly desirable but not essential.
