Reports to: Product Lead

Location: Blackfriars, London – 2-3 days per week office presence
Salary: £38-45,000 p/a depending on experience

The Role
As a Junior Product Manager, you will support our Senior Product team in defining the vision and managing the delivery of several products across QuantSpark’s portfolio. You will understand client needs, work with internal and external stakeholders to build the product roadmap and to see products through to launch. You will be a pivotal part of the team, chairing brainstorming sessions, supporting in sprint planning and advocating for best practices in successful product delivery.
Whilst our products cover a range of topics, they are predominately centred around data and analytics capabilities across various industries, including financial services, manufacturing, and retail. The right candidate for this role will have a passion for data and analytics, and experience handling and interpreting data. Ideally the right candidate for this role will have experience working with a range of technical experts such as Developers, Engineers and or Data Analysts.
Requirements
Prior experience working in a product or development team with external clients to understand product requirements and develop creative analytical solutions to business problems
Strong client (or stakeholder) management experience, ideally with the retail industry
Analytical background (e.g., working within a business analytics/data science/development team or STEM degree) and a passion for data analytics and data driven products
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams
Excellent organisational skills and ability to coordinate with software and analytics development teams
The following skills are not required but would be beneficial:
- Prior experience across the lifecycle of product development, organising and chairing brainstorming sessions, assisting with sprint planning and build product roadmaps
- Experience running ad-hoc research and business analysis to support and assess product performance and potential new opportunities
- Experience helping to define the product vision and breaking it down into actionable tasks that feed into the product backlog
- Experience working with and supporting teams of software developers and or analysts
- An appreciation of Agile methodologies (e.g. Kanban, Scrum) and tools (e.g Jira, Asana, Confluence)
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstratable experience in delivering project outputs to a high standard (e.g. project briefs, PowerPoint decks)
- An analytical mindset and some prior experience using these skills within a business environment (ideally with retail clients)
Salary
£35 - 45k per annum salary (based on experience)
Anniversary bonuses applicable on both year 2 and 3
