Junior Onsite IT Technician - HMRC Workplace Services

Your Role
We are looking for a dynamic and driven IT Technician to be the face of Fujitsu working with end users on the HMRC account. Your role will primarily involve delivering face to face IT support to users at an Connect IT Bar within the HMRC office in East Kilbride. You will be working alongside other IT technicians on site providing user support at a Connect IT Bar, support for Network devices, PCs, Laptops, Surface Pros, Telephony devices and other locally installed peripherals, and support for AV setup within meeting rooms and completion of regular checks to confirm meeting rooms are fully operational.
You will also be responsible for the management and delivery of local moves and changes on site., development of key relationships with end user HMRC staff in various business areas, support to relevant Fujitsu (and sometimes HMRC) third parties as well as feedback on perceived issues, to ensure new services are engaged successfully, negating problems before they arise.
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Windows 8.1 / 10
- MS Office / Office 365
- Support for general PC/Laptop Hardware + Surface Pro devices
- Flexibility – about hours worked (within contractual requirements) to meet SLAs. To be able to travel (within a defined geography) to cover home workers and assist at other sites if necessary
- Great Problem-solving skills
- Customer focused – a positive ‘can do’ attitude and high orientation to customer satisfaction
- Self-motivated – willingness to get on with the job – a self-starter who does not need constant supervision
- Team player – good team working skills
- Fantastic personal organisation
