Our Network & UC team operates across the globe and as our UK based Junior Network Engineer, you’ll be involved in the operations & deployment of the Global Network strategy for the Imerys Group.
Activity will include installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the network infrastructure equipment. You’ll also be involved in multiple types of demands, and daily operations actions across LAN, WAN, cloud and security devices whilst working closely with security and business partner teams to ensure the network contributes to heightened IT & OT security. In addition, you may have the opportunity to be involved in Run and Build topics.
Primarily based on our Par Moor site in St Austell there will be a requirement to travel to our sites across the UK and abroad.
About you
As this position requires travel outside of the UK it is essential that the post holder is able to travel freely within and outside of the Schengen area at short notice.
Ideally, you’ll have at least 2 years of Operational support experience in a Cisco, Palo Alto, or Forcepoint environment together with:
- A diploma or degree in Computer science
- Hands on troubleshooting experience (ITIL approach)
- Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including IP, Ethernet, Cisco Switch & Wifi, Palo Alto firewalls and Global Protect VPN client, Palo Alto Prisma, Forcepoint URL filtering, BGP, MPLS, SDWAN, SASE, Cloud IAAS
- Fluent spoken and written English
- A full and valid UK driving licence is essential
