ROLE: Junior Merchandiser

As part of our exciting onward journey, Sealskinz is looking for an enthusiastic, Junior Merchandised to join our team.
Within this busy role you will be responsible for planning and trading key categories and accounts, with the support of the Trading Director.
Where does this role fit within Sealskinz Team?
Working within the trading and supply chain part of the business you will be part of a team that supports a multi-channel business. This role will work closely with the Trading Director, taking ownership for specific product areas across Sealskinz various trading channels to ensure we deliver our goals and plans.

Main responsibilities
Planning
- To plan across different product areas, working to parameters signed off, focusing on profit and risk to the business.
- Create and manage buying bibles for designated product areas, reforecasting during selling season to ensure enough stock is booked to cover sales orders and in season trading opportunities.
- Oversee the completion of buys with trading, drop ship and sales team.
- Submit proposed buy to Trading Director for sign off.
- Place purchase orders with factories for buy signed off and in season repeats.
- Liaise with factories to ensure goods shipped as required to meet launch dates for the business in the most cost-effective way.
- Provide end of season selling analysis and present information back to the business for future product development direction.
- Generate Range Plans for design that cover all trading divisions requirements.
Trading
- Review weekly drop ship trading and propose in season actions.
- Attend and present weekly trade meeting, sharing drop ship KPI’s and actions with the rest of the trading teams.
- Manage promotional activity for drop ship accounts.
- Review and agree any promotional activity proposed by other trading divisions of the business to minimise impact to other areas of the business.
- Support trading teams to ensure monthly KPI’s are achieved, with regular reviews of delivery schedules.
- Oversee the forecasting of never out of stock styles to maximise sales.
- Complete monthly reports for use in board pack
- Ensure all global price lists are generated and maintained to ensure correct prices (cost, wholesale & rrp) within the system.
- Liaising with other areas of the business i.e., Warehousing, Product Development, Customer Service.
- Manage day to day queries/problems that arise within the department.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
