Position: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:

Morgan King is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work for one of our leading manufacturing clients. This position will work closely with our engineering team and manufacturing operations to design and develop new products. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex, high-throughput products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyse Processes: They study how things are currently being done, like manufacturing a product or delivering a service, and analyse each step involved.
• Identify Problems: They pinpoint any inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or issues in the process that can be improved.
• Design Improvements: Process engineers create solutions to make the process better. This can involve changing equipment, modifying procedures, or introducing new technologies.
• Optimise Efficiency: They aim to make the process faster, use fewer resources (like time or materials), and reduce waste.
• Ensure Quality: They also focus on maintaining or improving the quality of the final product or service.
• Safety: Safety is a significant concern. Process engineers work to ensure that the process is safe for workers and the environment.
• Cost Control: They often work on cost reduction strategies, finding ways to do things more economically without sacrificing quality.
• Documentation: They document the improved processes and may provide training to employees to ensure that these processes are followed correctly.

Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace or Engineering is preferred.
• At least 12 - 18 months experience in a Manufacturing Engineer position within in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £35,000.00 per year
