Responsible for:
Managing the property maintenance and home improvements of our Care Services
Objective:
To support the Business to ensure the property is well maintained and to play a key role in contributing to the continuous improvement of the environment in which we care for our elderly residents.
Key tasks:
- Provide technical building and services expertise in respect of reactive repairs and planned maintenance for our Residential Care Services.
- Deliver planned and cyclical maintenance contracts.
- Ensure efficient running of the day to day maintenance of all Residential Services by developing and implementing a cost effective programme of maintenance that takes account of user needs, whole life costs and sustainability.
- Maintain a management system for all maintenance records and information associated with the property portfolio.
- Prepare schedules of work required to the properties for costing by contractors.
- Monitor contractors’ performance to ensure works are completed within budget, on time and provide best value.
- To visit the property on a regular basis and work closely with the Manager and director to identify ongoing maintenance and improvements which will form part of the annual Home Improvement Plans.
- Provide significant input into the Budget for repairs and maintenance and Home Improvement Plans.
- To have excellent awareness of Health & Safety and respond appropriately to any key issues within the services which require to be addressed.
- Provide comprehensive updates and analysis as required to the Manager or Director.
- To attend meetings as required and occasionally on behalf of the Director or manager.
- To prioritise tasks and work schedules in line with competing demands.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: £11.50 per hour

- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Experience:
- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
