Job Description


Salary: Between £27,000 - £35,000 DOE

Location: Nelson with Hybrid Working
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30/9:00 - 17:00/17:30

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and assist with the implementation of a new Daisy Communications standalone IT infrastructure.
  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated, approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Manage and complete effective documentation of server procedures regarding design and implementation of hardware, software, and systems.
  • Actively perform system monitoring, verifying the availability and integrity of all servers, systems and key processes.
  • Mentor the junior members of the IT Service Desk team.

Qualifications
  • Project work involvement\implementation\planning
  • M365\AWS\Azure implementation\administration\trouble shooting
  • General System Administration skills (Operating systems, hardware, virtualization)
  • Anti-Virus\Security
  • Advanced working knowledge of Active Directory/DHCP/DNS/GPO etc.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and logical approach to problems
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Organised with high attention to detail
