Job description
As Junior Information Security Analyst, you are helping Preqin to build an expanding global incident response and awareness capability. This involves responding to system alerts for security response, coordinating with IT and management to remediate findings and educating business colleagues on best practise controls for maintaining compliance with SOC2 and mitigating new threats. You will research and report on new threats as they appear in the wild and provide global support for security aspects of Data Protection legislation under the direction of VP Data Privacy.

- Office635 platform alerts
- OSSEC log monitoring alerts
- AWS WAF alerts
- DLP alerts and reports
- Sophos malware alerts
- Mimecast alerts
- Identify new threats from various threat sources
- Identify remediations and work collaboratively with other departments to deliver those cost effectively
- Participate in local Security Awareness sessions
- Investigate and document security incidents

- An awareness of security threats and mitigation techniques
- Can demonstrate ways of manipulating and combining data sources to identify key indicators of compromise.
- Good written skills both in terms of process documentation and management reports.
- Good understanding of Information Security risk analysis
- A self-starter capable of working autonomously with minimal instruction
- A collaborator who can communicate security disciplines in a way any person can understand.
- An understanding of SOC2, PCI DSS, ISO27001 security controls and how they can be applied.
- Knowledge of technical security controls that support data protection legislation
- An aptitude for acquiring knowledge of security systems and tools and applying that knowledge in practice
