Junior Graphic Designer
Phos is looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our team in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
Phos is a highly creative designer & manufacturer of high-end architectural lighting winning several awards in our sector (FX awards / Darc Awards / Lighting Design Awards).
We have created an outstanding range of discreet and powerful miniature luminaires that provide total flexibility of design, exceptional manufacturing quality and high performance. But most importantly, they look amazing!
Working alongside the Marketing Director and within the marketing team, we will be looking for someone who is creative and passionate about their work as part of a small team in a positive and fun atmosphere.
The role is to drive the business forward with exciting and well thought out designs both online and with print content. You will work on a broad range of projects, from digital work covering web design, video creation, email campaigns and social media/web graphics, through to print and marketing materials, as well as having the chance to work on company merchandise for external exhibitions and supporting organisation and logistics of events.
As a graphic designer you will need to fully understand our brand and be able to embrace everything we stand for.
The candidate will be reporting to the Graphic Designer & Business Developer Manager.
Requirements:
- Copy Writing and Proof Reading skills are essential.
- Experience as a Graphic Designer in a digital agency or company
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent time management with strong sense of deadlines
- Problem solving capabilities
- Analytical with great attention to detail
- Adobe Creative Suite skills, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe XD
- Skills in PowerPoint presentations
- Image editing and retouching
- Excellent typographic and visual skills
- Experience in designing and managing UI and UX design
- Good Understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS)
- A knowledge of print processes
- A keen interest in social media and marketing
- Product Rendering experience essential – use of Rhino would be a massive advantage
- Please note – presentation of your Portfolio will be required
Advantages (keen to learn):
- Use of After Effects or other animation programs
- An understanding of HTML and/or CSS
- A keen eye for product photography
- A knowledge of 3D and rendering software’s such as Rhino, 3DS Max and Vray
Academic Qualifications:
- Degree level – or equivalent.
- Background in lighting product design would be a massive advantage.

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
