As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will support the end-to-end change delivery throughout the full project/change lifecycle. You will maintain imbedded controls to ensure ongoing data accuracy and to support testing/quality assurance on proposed process/system changes relating to financial calculations.
As a Junior Financial Analyst, we are looking for someone to:
- Identify issues/PI opportunities within financial processes/management.
- Maintain long established financial controls to ensure accurate application of system transactions to ensure customers experience no detriment.
- Help propose and shape financial solutions to maximise efficiency, accuracy, business benefits and objectives.
- Support Operational teams meet customer’s expectations by identifying solutions and proposing the necessary data modifications.
- Assist the Financial Change Consultant in delivering accurate business models relating to their financial calculations, processes and procedures.
- Assist the Financial Change Consultant in maintaining all off-system calculators to ensure their effectiveness and/or need for updates to meet customer’s changing demands.
- Mitigate risk through ensuring that financial calculations/processes/procedures are documented.
- Work with IT and Business Change to ensure traceability between business objectives, requirements, functional specifications, user stories and solutions.
- Help with the management of risks, including identification, mitigation and controls
- Drive and support a compliant and customer centric culture
- Good knowledge of financial services environment;
- Entry level analytical experience and strong data processing abilities.
- Intermediate level technical skills in Word and Excel with aspiration to develop their Excel technical skills to an advanced level.
- Good documentation skills to ensure all requirements captured are clear, concise and appropriate for their target audience.
- Good presentation and diverse communication skills.
- Experience of collaborating with other business areas.
- Ability to communicate business requirements in a non-technical and simple way which encourages functional advocacy both internally and externally (clients/3rd parties etc.)
