Junior Finance Analyst – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

About the role
Working closely with the Finance Manager and the Accounts Receivable team leader you’ll analyse large volumes of data to produce an action plan in clearing backlogs of accounts with credit balances and taking necessary steps to get balances cleared within set timeframes
Maintaining a high level of organisation, you’ll ensure unallocated and unmatched cash reduces in line with the team Key Performance Indicators.
Day to day you’ll assist in all daily, weekly cash reporting as required and you’ll reconcile cash transactions to ensure inflows and outflows are accurately recorded for all cash flow and working capital processes.
Building strong relationships throughout the business will be key to success in this role as you’ll work collaboratively between many other departments. You’ll help identify process improvements so we can be more efficient and improve the customer experience.
About you
You’ll have strong numerical ability underpinned by a minimum of GCSE or equivalent education, including Mathematics and English.
Being comfortable with large sets of data will be essential in this role, alongside excellent problem-solving skills, and the focus and drive to deliver outcomes within a planned timeline.
You’ll bring to the role some experience with application of analytical techniques and have strong attention to detail ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data your present to the team. You’ll also need to have intermediate knowledge and experience using Excel in this role alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills as you’ll be interacting with a wide variety of stakeholders within the business.
As important as hard skills and experience is your outlook. Resourceful and flexible, you’ll find work arounds where blockages such as poor data or access to other information occur.
