We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our growing team as Junior Field Technicians in the Telecommunication Sector.
As a Junior Field Technician, you will be responsible for the deployment and installation of electronic equipment and telecommunications infrastructure.
This is a hands-on role that involves working closely with a Senior Field Engineer to ensure the smooth execution of projects.

Responsibilities
  • You will be required to travel to various locations across the UK to perform on-site installations and maintenance tasks.

  • You will be responsible for the proper installation and setup of electronic and telecommunications equipment, ensuring that it meets industry standards and requirements.

  • As part of the installation process, you will be involved in laying and connecting copper and fibre optic cables.

  • Properly labelling equipment and cables is essential for organization and easy identification during maintenance and future upgrades.

  • You will be required to perform basic tests on the installed equipment and cables, including.


    • a) Continuity Testing
    b) Insertion Loss
    c) BER Tests

  • Documenting the installation process through photos is crucial for records and project documentation.

  • After completing the installation, you will be responsible for leaving the site in a clean and tidy state.

  • You must possess good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide status updates.

    • Skills required
  • Familiarity with telecommunication principles and industry practices is essential for performing the job effectively.

  • Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, are required for documentation and reporting purposes.

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) is essential for interacting with team members and clients effectively.

  • Confident with using hand tools which will be necessary for carrying out installation tasks.

  • Flexibility to travel to various locations within the UK is a requirement of the role.

    • Educational requirements
    ONC or HNC in an Engineering subject (Electronics or Mechanical) - A relevant engineering qualification is necessary to understand the technical aspects of the role.
