JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
To edit videos to provide Guinness World Records with high quality video content on social media platforms.
- Editing video content for social media.
- Implementing the house graphics style guide.
- Keeping up to date with developments and techniques to maximise retention and views.
- Telling brand enhancing stories and finding a way of doing so to match the platforms' strengths
- Outputting multiple versions of edits, including cleans, and following workflows to ensure all assets are produced and stored for future use
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Job Knowledge
- Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
- Compressor and Encoder
- Knowledge of video codecs, formats, editing workflows, and storage media.
- Understanding of licensing and rights management.
Communication
- Presenting concepts and storyboards to internal clients.
- Presenting video work to the rest of GWR.
- Acting as an ambassador for GWR when liaising externally.
Autonomy & Freedom to Act
- Managing edit time to meet deadlines.
Analytical Reasoning
- Following client briefs.
- Working with assets on Asset Bank.
- Understanding rights and permissions issues for filming.
Impact
- Creating content that helps to build and maintain audiences for Guinness World Records.
- Creating content that enhances our reputation.
- Creating content that can be monetised for revenue generation.
- Producing content that can be used by other parts of the company as a sales tool.
