Job description
We're looking for an enthusiastic Junior Designer to join the Sports News design team. As a sports news designer you'll work within an award winning team on an exciting and diverse range of sports output and breaking news stories for Sky!
What you'll do:
- Be an integral member of the team, developing brand and information graphics for reactive multiplatform storytelling on a wide range of sporting events.
- Embrace a range of creative challenges, from live reactive TV output to long-form branding projects, animated explainers and titles.
- Embrace the fast-pace and excitement of working in a world-class newsroom - Be a brand guardian for Sky Sports News - Be a confident communicator, able to clearly explain ideas.
- Work a set rotation between shifts and regular working weeks. The shifts cover live breaking news output, either starting early (5am) or finishing late (Midnight), Monday to Sunday.
What you'll bring:
- A keen interest in sport!
- A passion for high-end graphic design and a curiosity about visual storytelling.Formal training in design with an awareness of design trends.
- Good creative and conceptual skills with experience in motion design, information design and branding.
- Ability to think cross-platform: TV, mobile, web, social media and print.
- An understanding of the current Sky Sports brand identity and brand values.
