TEXO Recruitment are looking to recruit a Junior Piping Designer on behalf of our TEXO Engineering Division in Westhill, Aberdeen.
Purpose of the Role:
To work within the piping engineering department providing management and support to piping deliverables whilst working to TEXO procedures, Client specification and in line with class requirements.
Area(s) of Responsibility:
Designs are completed with a thought process of safety, constructability, and from an operational point of view.
Undertake draughting and checking of drawings.
Guide trainee designers in their development.
Drawing & Design folder upkeep – filing, checking, approvals, design reviews, drawing register and specifications are aligned with client and class requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce piping drawings / engineering deliverables to a high standard.
- Checking drawings.
- Managing deadlines and keeping project team up to date in timeous manner.
- Understanding and ensuring Texo Engineering are aligning with Client and Class Technical requirements.
- Raising concerns and making suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
- Participate in meetings and attending workshops and other training initiatives.
- Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and diligence.
Minimum Qualifications / Competency / Training
- Qualified to Degree Level in relevant discipline or completed NVQ / SVQ in engineering or equivalent, or minimum of 3 years vocational experience.
- Competent in AutoCAD (minimum 2 years’ experience) (Plant 3D Preferable)
- Preferred: Relevant offshore mandatory requirements (BOSIET, MIST, medical etc)

- Support the Company’s environmental stance by following all environmental procedures and policies and assist with the reduction of waste, energy usage and emissions.
