The role:
We are currently recruiting for a Junior Data Steward, to be based within our Scottish Offices (Glasgow or Edinburgh).
As a business, data is an important part of everything we do. Our Commercial group look after this data, making sure that it’s recorded accurately and consistently across our different systems and ensuring that we follow best practice and governance requirements.
This role will offer you an amazing opportunity to learn more about how this is done. Working as a valued member of our Commercial Group, you’ll receive guidance and training from a Senior Data Steward to learn how:
- We use Dynamics 365 and our associated tools to manage our data
- To perform data entry– ensuring this is accurate, complete and consistent.
- To assist in developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and consistency across our systems.
- To create and maintain data documentation.
- To identify and report data quality issues, participating in data audits to ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures.

This would be a great opportunity for a school or college leaver who is looking to kick-start their career and is eager to learn more about data management and governance. You’ll develop most of the necessary skills during your role, however we are keen to speak to individuals who are:
- Self-motivated, with the ability to use their initiative to get tasks done
- Able to work quickly and accurately, with great attention to detail
- Strong communicators, who enjoy working as part of a team
- Have some experience of working with Microsoft 365 software, in particular the use of MS Excel (or similar programmes)
