Junior Data Scientist
£35,000 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6B)
Manchester City Centre (Hybrid)
We’re looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join us in Manchester to help develop data science techniques that’ll make sure our colleagues can make quicker, more intelligent business decisions at scale. The role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.
In this role, you’ll use many different types of data in complex, long-term projects – supported by other members of the Data Science team.
To give you an idea of how this Junior Data Scientist role will look and feel, here are some of the things you can expect to do:
- Use a range of statistical and machine learning techniques such as regression, clustering, decision trees and forecasting
- Translate intricate business rationale and decision-making into code
- Influence a variety of internal partners, promoting and demonstrating the value of data
- Build positive relationships and collaborate with the wider data teams
To apply for this Junior Data Scientist role, you’ll need to have a quality Master’s / PhD in Data Science, and the ability to write and develop code using SQL, Python, or R. You’ll also need:
- The ability to use data to provide insights and recommendations
- Strong numerical skills
- Excellent communication skills; able to build meaningful relationships with colleagues and partners of all levels of seniority
