The Role
As a Data annotator at Odin Vision, you will be processing video data on a cloud-based data annotation platform that feeds artificial intelligence-based algorithms to help doctors improve the detection and diagnosis of cancer. This includes detecting and analysing patterns in endoscopy videos based on prior training by our clinical team. You will work alongside our talented team of researchers and engineers and collaborate with clinical experts. You must be able to work well in a multi-disciplinary team and have strong communication skills. Interacting with the computer should be natural to you. You should have a passion for technology, healthcare and improving the lives of others.
This an entry level full-time role ideal from a recent graduate's first job.
Responsibilities/Tasks
Data Annotation:
- Annotate and label medical images and data related to gastrointestinal cancer using annotation tools and guidelines.
- Accurately classify and categorise data according to predefined criteria and standards.
- Ensure consistency and quality in data annotation to maintain reliable training and testing datasets.
- Collaborate with the team to resolve annotation-related questions or challenges.
- Adhere to data security and confidentiality protocols.
Quality Control:
- Review and validate annotations to ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
- Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in annotated data.
- Collaborate with team members to establish and implement quality control measures.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving annotation processes and guidelines.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of annotation processes, guidelines, and updates.
- Generate reports on annotation progress, data quality, and challenges encountered.
- Contribute to the preparation of documentation related to data annotation for audits or regulatory purposes.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and medical professionals.
- Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and expectations.
- Participate in team meetings and provide insights on data annotation activities.
- Curating and acquisition of new medical datasets including on-site data collection from medical collaborators
Requirements
- London based or willing to travel for on-site data collection
- Graduated from a STEM degree program
Prioritisation and organisational skills- A high standard of attention to detail
- Good communication skills, verbal, visual and written
- In case of remote working, a high bandwidth internet connection, preferably 100Mbps
Salary
£24,000 - £26,000 a year
