The Role & Responsibilities

We are in the middle of a technical transformation at Shawbrook, and following significant success and investment, we’re channelling our resources to build upon our incredibly talented tech teams.
Our data teams are an integral part of all BAU projects at Shawbrook, working hard to ensure that we remain at the forefront of data driven decision making. We are looking for an adaptable and innovative Junior Data Analyst join us and play a crucial role in upcoming projects, aiding in the development and maintenance of data platforms and contributing to the ongoing automation of reporting processes.
Our team work in an Agile environment utilising tools like Jira for efficient ticketing and day to day communication. You will get the opportunity to work with many different business areas, acting as the bridge between technical and business teams, translating their needs into technical requirements and collaborating to deliver data centric solutions.

Responsibilities
This is an exciting role with a varied workload, you’ll be working with multiple teams on a number of projects. Some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Investigating and understanding data sources through data analysis to share your findings with stakeholders
- General maintenance and testing of databases
- Reporting for finance and risk functions, as well as supporting the future automation of these processes
- Helping to build new data platforms for all new BAU projects across Shawbrook
- Working with a variety of teams to translate their business data requirements into technical solutions
The Person
- A base understanding of coding- you will be using SQL daily to perform analysis on our data, we don’t require specific SQL experience right now but exposure to coding (in any language) will give you a great start.
- Communication skills- you’ll be working alongside many other teams to understand and deliver on their requirements
- Organisation- you’ll be creating and managing tickets in a fast paced environment, knowing how to organise and prioritise your workload is key
- Attention to detail- you’ll be working with a high volume of data daily and need to ensure a high level of accuracy
- Willingness to learn- there are many different directions you could take this role, we want you to be excited and ready to grow with us!
