Who You'll Work With
You will be based in one of our offices in Europe and will be part of our Risk & Resilience Practice.
You’ll work with colleagues of our global Risk & Resilience Practice and McKinsey Digital as well as others on a variety of studies across geographies. You will be assisting client teams to understand and quantify cyber exposures, evaluating cyber resiliency strategies as well as use our proprietary assessments to deliver our core methodologies. This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses and developing and communicating recommendations for client presentations.
What You'll Do
- You'll work in client-based teams of consultants and experts to take a holistic approach to establish cyber resiliency and implement enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy tailored to the organization and its business priorities. As such, you will help define, set up and manage workstreams and engagements to solve complex problems, bringing a cyber risk perspective.
- You will be expected to take ownership of its end products, contributing to the analysis, design and implementation of business performance approaches, developing tailor-made solutions and working closely with clients to ensure positive impact and sustainable results.
- You will help clients establish a comprehensive cyber strategy (covering risk, business and cultural dimensions), “de-risk” their digitization efforts and establish a secure enterprise. Your work will encompass assessing risk & resilience, securing the digital transformation (establishing digital resilience), establishing crisis response and preparedness and building long-term cyber capabilities for our clients.

Qualifications
- Excellent records of academic and professional achievement in the field of cyber risk & resilience
- Advanced graduate degree strongly preferred (e.g., Masters, MBA, PhD) with focused in computer science, mathematics, engineering, information management or business with specialization in technology management
- 2 – 8 years of work experience in cybersecurity strategy, consulting, information technology, risk based digital resilience transformations and/or business intelligence
- Entrepreneurial spirit with desire to work in fast-paced, consulting start-up environment
- Ability to consistently deliver exceptional results on demanding timelines
- Ability to demonstrate program ownership and consistent delivery on commitments
- Great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
- Sound problem-solver who can quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
- Strong client-focused mindset
- Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and the local office language(s)
- Willingness to travel
