Team

The Cloud Practice is the team that builds large infrastructure for awide-ranging and diverse set of customers. We help them choose the right toolsand services, build highly-scalable secure infrastructure and help them managethe maintenance of those environments. We come up with creative solutions todifficult problems and every engineer gets to have a large direct impact oneach of those customers.

The team is made up of engineers from all around the country indistributed teams. While this role is located at an office, as your careerprogresses, you can work fully remote or at any Claranet UK office - mostpeople choose a combination of the two. We’ve worked hard to create aremote-friendly culture and believe you can have a big impact no matter whereyou live.

As one of the Junior SREs of this team, yourrole will involve providing support to existing customers and working as partof a team. This role gives a great opportunity and route for progression in thefuture. This opportunity will give you the chance to work alongside some of thesmartest people in the industry as well as giving you the opportunity tocomplete Azure certifications.

About You

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Providing support to our existing customer base and managing customerissues through to resolution where possible
  • Assisting in the build of new customer environments, working as part ofa larger project team
  • Keeping abreast of new technologies and changes in the industry

Position Specifications

  • Good knowledge of Windowsand associated technologies
  • Basic knowledge ofPowerShell
  • Some understanding ofdeploying applications in IIS
  • Enthusiastic and eager tolearn a wide variety of technologies
  • Excellent communicationskills, both written and verbal

Inaddition, the following are highly desirable:

  • Basic knowledge in at least one scripting languageother than PowerShell
  • Experience with MicrosoftAzure
