At Atlas we design and manufacture quality, bespoke and long-lasting contract furniture for the hospitality, leisure and Marine industry across the UK, in Europe and beyond. As part of the CAD Design team, you will be joining a dedicated group of skilled individuals who take pride in their work and ensure quality at all points of the process.
We are looking for someone who is enthusastic for design, hard-working and reliable. You will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work under your own initiative and have working knowledge of 2D AutoCAD.
Previous experience within a similar industry would be beneficial.
Will Report To: Design Manager
Main purpose
To produce precise construction and plan drawings, in response to enquiries made through the Sales team and from the client directly; provide clear and concise communication at all levels; and confidently work independently applying drawing knowledge and Atlas processes.
Core Responsibilities
- To efficiently manage own workload to deadlines set by the Design Manager, immediately highlighting where there are likely to be delays to the relevant manager
- Produce accurate and detailed CAD Layouts and plans, technical drawings, elevations and sections within 2D AutoCAD
- Setting out and programming products to send to CNC
- Communicate with other departments to ensure deadlines are met, in line with quality expectations, including but not limited to ordering materials, and handing over to production
- To work with the Sales Account Managers on projects, providing technical solutions, advising of changes to projects, and any increased costs and charges that may apply
- Provide clear and concise verbal and written communication to and with clients, including sending drawings.
- Being able to handle queries independently, confidently applying drawing knowledge.
Other Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Design team and other parts of the business as and when required
- Co-ordination and preparation of all supporting documentation required in the tender bid
- To work alongside your colleagues in ensuring that all Atlas products are met to the required standards and to deadline, following Company procedures and practices at all times.

- Good knowledge of Excel
