Job description
Purpose:
To assist with and analyse new IT projects and changes within the Group and for external clients. To assist with the delivery through sprint cycles and into deployment.
Working in a busy, fast-paced software development team this role will work closely with our stakeholders and our internal technical teams to gather and understand business requirements on a range of projects from data migration projects through to transformational projects and bespoke software solutions. This role will be expected to document fully the requirements and continue engagement with stakeholders and the IT Team from inception through to delivery. This is a challenging role with an emphasis on business change through in-house developed solutions for multiple stakeholders across several sectors.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To ensure internal SLAs and KPIs are complied with;
- To provide support and guidance to less experienced MIS staff;
- To effectively communicate with management, staff and team members at a technical and non-technical level;
- To extract business requirements using a variety of methods. Proactively communicate with the client to determine requirements and effectively document the same;
- Develop a strong working relationship with the client to enable their ideas to be challenged, and if necessary to suggest technical alternatives;
- Serve as the link between the technical and business teams;
- Work within strict timescales to assist with delivering projects on time;
- To assist management with any other duties as are reasonable to the position.

Desirable competencies:
- Experience working in a relevant sector (Legal, Healthcare or Insurance);
- Relevant degree and/or relevant professional qualification/accreditation (BCS, ISEB or IIBA);
- Understanding and experience of agile delivery;
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and current software development technologies;
- Ability to project manage change.
Hybrid working:
This role would be based in our Bristol office, with a combination of home and office working.
Working hours:
7 hours a day, 35 hours a week, between the core working hours of 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday.
