Location: Based within either UK, France, Netherlands, Germany, Spain

Role Overview:

Advance the People Teams impact by contributing to the design and documentation of, the HRIS solution across Europe aimed at positioning JD as an employer of choice.

The JD People team puts the colleague at the heart of what we do, as we develop a level of service that emulates the JD brand and maximises colleague experience.

We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst to work within our Business Analysis and Change Team to partner key business stakeholders, Programme & Project Managers, SME's, Developers, Suppliers and Testers to help implement the HRIS programme across Europe.

A successful Junior Business Analyst should put quality and agility at the heart of everything they do, driving improvements that deliver a world class HRIS solution.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Business Analysis and Change team to identify the appropriate business analysis approach to a range of programme activities
  • Take responsibility for assigned tasks and plan work in line with business and programme priorities
  • Identify stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and use appropriate techniques to investigate situations; consider different perspectives and document outcomes
  • Support design workshops for process / solution design
  • Documenting 'As is' and 'To be' processes; ensuring these are centrally retained; with change and version control carefully managed
  • Support development and testing during sprints and provide support during playback sessions where required
  • Promote collaborative working between stakeholders, developers and test
  • Identify and communicate any risks that may affect the scheduled release and identify mitigation measures
  • From time to time carry out other duties within the scope of the role such as training and user acceptance testing
  • Collection, validation and documentation of business requirements and validation of change specification documents vs requirements

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and plan/manage time accordingly
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Diligent, focused and dependable, able to build strong relationships based on integrity
  • Team player able to work constructively with project managers, business analysts, software developers, 3rd party suppliers, test teams, business stakeholders and senior management
  • Confidence to question stakeholders and identify underlying/hidden requirements
  • Business Analysis experience with exposure in HR / People Operations / SaaS solutions highly advantageous
  • Experience of producing process maps and process flow models would be preferable
  • Facilitation and influencing skills
  • Self-starter able to work with limited guidance

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Experience of capturing, validating and analysing requirements
  • Experience in an Agile Scrum environment
  • Exposure to the full software development life-cycle
  • Business related diploma / degree
  • Professional certification such as the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis
  • Certification in Agile such as Business Analyst/Product Owner/Scrum Master
