Job description
- Work with the BAMs to play a critical role in building and developing key relationships with the Premier League’s broadcast partners and ensure we help deliver broadcast success. Alongside the BAMs, you’ll operate as the primary and regular point of contact.
- Be an advocate for broadcasters amongst the PLP production teams - ensuring that the interests of broadcasters are at the forefront of our decision making and act as an account manager between the broadcasters and PLP’s internal teams. It’s vital we continue developing the good lines of communications currently already in place.
- Demonstrate a collegiate and collaborative approach with all departments within PLP and have an in depth understanding of PLP’s output and facilities.
- Through regular interaction, identify ways and opportunities in which we can improve the service and broadcast experience across all PLP’s strands and implement specific improvement plans to address any deficiencies. Highlight broadcaster priorities that is focused on local audiences & markets. See through the eyes of a broadcaster to help deliver broadcaster success.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of any solutions/actions according to broadcasters’ requests both externally and internally working closely with the BAMs.
- Build strong relationships and work in close collaboration with the Premier League, including supporting the delivery of any in-market activations and initiatives.
- Working alongside the insights team, have an awareness of research viewership, ratings, popularity of shows and utilise this information to identify and recommend areas of improvement.
- Clearly communicate regular updates to stakeholders across both PLP and the Premier League.
- Stay abreast of developments within the international sports broadcast arena.
- Sound understanding and interest in emerging technologies within the sports and broadcasting industries and the ability to identify solutions that have the potential to deliver a benefit to both PLP and international broadcasters across our production and technical delivery, as well as the end consumer.
- Keep all key and valuable documents accurate and updated.
- Occasional unsociable hours will be required.
- Some domestic and international travel will be required.
- Previous experience working within an Account Management or Production/Broadcaster Liaison role.
- Comfortable when working with clients (client facing).
- An understanding of sports TV production.
- Experience of working for or with international broadcasters / Sports Leagues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong relationships and ability to communicate at all levels across different organisations and cultures.
- Able to juggle multiple priorities at a time, while maintaining a sharp attention to detail.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Methodical and accurate approach, even when working under pressure.
- Strong presentation skills.
