Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented student or graduate to conduct a research project on exploring the best use of AI within our business. As technical lead you will be responsible for investigating how we can best utilise AI to maximize its benefits while minimizing its risks and challenges with a potential to then implement your recommendations. This can be offered as a student project, summer internship, or year contract suitable for a year-long placement or recent graduate. You will be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is passionate about and has an understanding of AI, with access to an established technical support network that you can utilise for research and advice.
Main responsibilities
- Perform the role of technical lead sharing insights into the latest AI research, tools, and technologies.
- Conduct a review on the current state of AI and its applications in similar industries.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and how AI-based solutions can be utilised to solve complex problems.
- Identify the opportunities and challenges associated with using AI in different domains.
- Develop a framework for evaluating the effectiveness of AI applications.
- Analyse and compare different AI technologies and how they can best be utilised within the production of our products.
- Synthesize findings and make recommendations on the best ways to utilize AI.
- Conduct experiments to test the effectiveness of proposed AI solutions.
Skills & Experience
- Enrolled or a recent graduate in a degree program in computer or data science, or a related field.
- Strong background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science
- Excellent analytical and research skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Positive can-do attitude and confident in using initiative within a fast-changing environment.

Job Types: Temporary contract, Graduate
Salary: £22,000.00 per year
