The role:
KL Communications is a highly regarded financial PR and communications consultancy with an emphasis on content creation. Based in our Central London office, you will support all levels of the company to fully understand each of the clients' unique audiences, before assisting in the creation and delivery of compelling targeted media campaigns.
Working under the mentorship of the account management team, you will receive invaluable on-the-job training that will allow you to develop your knowledge and skills with access to some of the industry’s top clients. You will need to hit the ground running and be ready to work across all different aspects of financial PR. Acting as a resource to the wider team, you will develop media relations and digital PR skills, while enhancing your writing and online monitoring abilities.
Principal responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of our clients’ businesses and communications objectives
- Develop knowledge of key print and online publications – including editorial style, agenda, content, and key journalists
- Keep abreast of national/broadsheet newspapers/websites and trade publications
- Build relationships with journalists across a range of publications
- Learn media sell-in techniques
- Source and secure client features
- Create and edit press releases, comments and other written content – with support from the content and PR teams
- Deliver accurate and well-presented work in a timely manner
- Proactively learn about clients and related business issues
- Engage with clients at an appropriate level
- Gain the respect and trust of clients, by developing client handling skills
- Support all new business, marketing and general company activities

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
