The Data Reporter is accountable, as part of a team, for providing quality final data to our clients in an efficient and effective manner.
Specifically, the Data Reporter is accountable for:
(1) retrieving, compiling, scanning and organizing paperwork into a final report format that requires review for assessment of potential effect on sample data quality (e.g., log-in paperwork, sample preparation records, etc.)
(2) assembling and distributing data packages to clients in order to complete contract
requirements;
(3) performing other duties in the Reporting Group such as sending Sample
Acknowledgements and emailing final data to clients.
This position operates under limited supervision.
- Maintaining an understanding of the analytical work in progress throughout the organization to anticipate schedules and requirements.
- Reviewing scanned and online data for completeness to meet requirements
- Tracking and acquiring missing documents to complete scanned documentation.
- Building, organizing and naming the scanned documentation for easy and logical access for review.
- Progressing along a training path towards competence in Data Package preparation.
- Achieving and maintaining a high degree of accuracy in the work.
- Updating the LIMS system to keep current the status of work in progress
- Adhering to the expectations outlined in the SGS AXYS Code of Ethics.
- B.Sc. or BA with some Science background
- Hands-on experience with MS Office and Adobe programs.
- Previous working experience in a related position or field for 1–3 year would be an asset.
- Incumbents must be capable of multi-tasking to meet the department needs of working with multiple departments and assignments simultaneously.
- Must be able to switch between tasks seamlessly and maintain effective production rates.
- Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.

- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail
- Independent in problem solving
- Strong willingness and ability to learn quickly.
- Able to work under pressure and respect deadlines
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
